Loop Tuning Solution for Improved Plant Performance

PAS, a provider of automation software for process safety, cyber security and asset reliability to the power and processing industries, has announced that BASF will establish PAS’ TuneWizard as a standard control loop tuning software for internal use.
TuneWizard is a software solution to optimize control loop performance. The software identifies the origins of poor control loop performance and facilitates their remediation in industrial operations.
“BASF is using PAS’ loop tuning solution, TuneWizard, because it provides an excellent combination of available features, ease of use and rapid deployment,” said Dr Florian Wolff, Senior Automation Engineer at the Ludwigshafen site in Germany.
TuneWizard identifies control valve deficiencies, minimizes troubleshooting time and utilizes an internal simulator to recommend appropriate tuning parameters for every control strategy.
