Corporate Report 2014: BinMaster Level Controls
EP Editorial Staff | December 1, 2014
BinMaster Level Controls were developed to help companies eliminate the dangerous and cumbersome task of climbing bins, tanks and silos to manually check the level of solid material. The company offers a wide variety of solutions and technologies that can be used in all types of powders and solid materials, including very fine, dusty powders, granules, coarse, lump materials and all types of bulk solids. BinMaster products are designed to be simple to install and operate, require minimal maintenance, and be long lasting with a low cost of ownership.
Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA BinMaster is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company that designs and manufactures reliable, solid-state point and continuous bin level indicators and inventory management systems used while storing or processing solid materials. All of BinMaster’s products are designed to help enhance safety and save time while improving inventory management. These sensors are cost effective and help optimize storage capacity, preventing empty conditions and overfilling to keep plants operating efficiently.
SmartBob is a proven, highly reliable and accurate inventory management system for monitoring all types of solid materials for one or an entire network of bins, tanks and silos. The weight and cable-based rugged SmartBob2 sensor is for bins up to 180’ tall. Mounted on the top of the bin, a weighted cable drops to the material surface to take a precise measurement and then sends measurement data to a console, eBob PC-based software or directly to a PLC. Options include models for high or super-high temperatures, measuring submersed solids, and wireless communications.
The BinMaster 3DLevelScanner utilizes continuous, non-contact level measurement using dust-penetrating technology to provide unsurpassed bin volume accuracy. It works by measuring multiple points within the silo. This advanced acoustics-based technology is proven to perform in powders and bulk solids contained in tanks, silos and domes. Its unique 3D mapping capabilities provide a visual representation of bin contents, detecting irregular material surfaces, cone up or down conditions, as well as sidewall buildup. It is self-cleaning, requires minimal maintenance and features a variety of extensions and configurations to allow it to be used in a wide range of challenging applications.
BinMaster rotaries offer a cost effective means to prevent bin overflows. The BMRX and MAXIMA+ rotary level indicators feature low power consumption, “de-energized” operation —which shuts down the motor when material is present—and automatic alerts to power failure. BinMaster also provides a variety of vibrating rods to offer side and top-mount flexibility for high, low and mid-level detection. Standard, extended length and high temperature vibrating rods ensure BinMaster has the product to address your needs. The BinMaster tilt switch level indicator is a versatile, low-cost indicator which can be used for a wide variety of applications. It can be installed as a plug detector in chutes or hoppers, or used to detect high levels of large heavy materials in tanks, bins or silos.
New developments from BinMaster coming in 2015 include a Cloud-based inventory management system called BinView, a patent-pending revolutionary tilt switch, and a new line of sensors for liquid level measurement.
