Victaulic Offers Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve

Victaulic has expanded the Vic-300 MasterSeal butterfly valve line with a stainless steel option. A cost-competitive alternative to flanged valves, the new grooved-end Series 461 stainless steel butterfly valve enables faster, easier installation while offering a bubble-tight seal, improved flow and extended service life.
The Series 461 valve features a patented seat design—made popular by the Victaulic Series 761 butterfly valve—that seals equally on both sides of the valve. This feature assures full 360-degree sealing and minimizes long-term wear, resulting in a longer life expectancy than most conventional valves. The unique design of the offset disc and two-piece stem increases flow and reduces operating torque by up to 35%.
The Series 461 butterfly valve is designed for pressures ranging from full vacuum to 300 psi (2,065 kPa) and delivers bi-directional shut-off and dead-end capabilities to the full rated working pressure. The valve is available in 2- to 8-in. sizes (50 to 200 mm) with EPDM or nitrile seats, a standard ISO mounting flange to accept most gear and power actuators, and either a 10-position or lever-lock handle that may be configured for infinitely variable service with memory stop. The valve is pad-lockable for use with an appropriate lockout/tagout system, and may be locked either fully open or fully closed.
