Fluke Offers Intrinsically Safe Pressure Calibrator

Fluke Corp. introduces the Fluke 721Ex intrinsically safe precision pressure calibrator, featuring dual isolated pressure sensors with 0.025 % accuracy. This new calibrator is rated IECEx and Atex Ex ia IIB T3 Gb (Zone 1) for safe operation in hazardous environments with potentially explosive atmospheres. It performs simultaneous static and differential pressure measurements, making it ideal for gas custody transfer calibration.
As part of custody transfer, technicians routinely calibrate all the pressure and temperature transmitters involved in the flow of oil and gas as well as the pressure in the pipelines and related equipment as a matter of fiduciary responsibility. The 721Ex eliminates the need to declassify work areas during calibration and allows technicians to perform gas custody transfer measurements without hot-work permits.
