The Superior AccuTrak® VPX-WR is a truly unique and innovative instrument optimized to detect compressed air leaks, gas and refrigerant leaks of any kind, vacuum leaks, find electric arc and corona, and diagnose other mechanical faults in real-world industrial conditions.  Rugged and waterproof, the VPX-WR is engineered and built for reliable use in all types of harsh field environments. Sealed controls, indicators, and plugs make the unit 100% water tight and impervious to steam, oil, fumes, dust, etc., allowing the instrument to be used in hostile environments where other instruments fail. The advanced digital circuitry and sensor are housed in a hard anodized aluminum case, surrounded by a padded grip for durability and longevity that is unmatched by any competitors.

Compressed Air Savings

The VPX-WR detects compressed air and gas leaks from a distance, and then enables the user to pinpoint the exact location of the leak. The instrument’s patented Dynamic Noise Discrimination (DND) technology scans a broad range of ultrasound (20 to 100 kHz) allowing operators to find leaks faster and more reliably, without the guesswork of manual tuning.  Nearly all industrial facilities have numerous compressed air leaks, with larger facilities typically wasting over $100,000 a year! The VPX-WR is the preferred instrument for Air Leak Survey Professionals all over the world.

The Superior AccuTrak® VPE-2000 Ultrasonic instrument is also a versatile tool for a great variety of Equipment & Plant Maintenance functions. The VPE-2000 is uniquely designed with two separate specialized sensors, each supported by dedicated circuitry configured to maximize the performance and function for many different applications. One sensor is dedicated to airborne ultrasound, to detect compressed air and gas leaks, refrigerant leaks, vacuum leaks, electric arc and corona, gasket leaks, and other applications. 

Predictive Maintenance–Bearings, Valves, Steam Traps

Superior AccuTrak® VPE-2000 contains a second sensor attached to a contact probe to “hear” internal ultrasound inside valves, equipment, and machinery. With this probe sensor the VPE-2000 can effectively be used to assess and diagnose bearings, valves, pumps, steam traps, and many other mechanical systems.

Maximum Versatility for Maintenance Professionals

The VPE-2000 is two instruments in one, providing optimum sound clarity and frequency response for any application. Full digital control allows the user to switch between the airborne and contact sensors while retaining all settings in memory, saving time and money. The bar graph LED indicator allows quick assessments, while the alphanumeric readout provides the information to establish baselines, perform trending, and obtain repeatability that no analog instrument can match.
