Des-Case Adds OilMiser Products to Lube Filtration Portfolio with JLM Systems Acquisition

Lube-filtration leader Des-Case Corp. (Goodlettesville/Nashville, TN) has announced the acquisition of Canada’s JLM Systems Ltd., (JLM), best known in industry for its comprehensive line of OilMiser products.

The OilMiser offering includes a wide range of oil-mist adapters, oil- sampling products, reservoir aspirators, equipment adapters, and more to protect gearboxes and hydraulic reservoirs from harmful contamination. JLM’s Vapor Guard oil-mist adapter, which enables oil to condense back into the reservoir creating a safer work environment, is the company’s leading product and an important strategic fit with Des-Case’s desiccant breathers.

Headquartered near Vancouver, JLM was founded in 1980 by company president Dick Gangnon to “provide an innovative solution for a customer with frequent contamination and breakdown issues.” His goal, as he has described it in the years since, was to save “a million gallons of oil, one ounce at a time.”

Terms of the acquisition call for Gangnon to become a product technical consultant with Des-Case to help provide a seamless transition following the sale.
