Hot-Spot Monitor

Gary Parr | June 25, 2017

GraceSense hot-spot monitor (HSM) is a continuous temperature-monitoring device for locations that are difficult and hazardous to access. The device uses fiber-optic technology to provide continuous temperature data from 9 or 18 independent sources. The non-conductive fiber probes can be mounted onto electrical busbars, splices, disconnects, cable connections, or any heat sources. Flexible communication options are said to make plant-wide communications simple, while standalone operation is achieved through web interface. By connecting HSM using MODBUS TCP I/P or Ethernet I/P and accessing the device through the GraceSense HSM web interface, users can set temperature thresholds, relay outputs, and alarm functions.
