Color Sensor Additions
Gary Parr | October 4, 2017
Wenglor color sensors select color objects in automated high-speed processes based on previously defined reference colors.
The pulsed white light is insensitive to extraneous light and reportedly makes reliable color recognition possible even at varying scanning distances. Applications include detection of color markings on print marks, labels, and packages; color object sorting; verifying color values for painting operations; and spectral measurement of colors in printing processes. Additions to the product line include the OPT2023 sensor that evaluaties as many as three colors simultaneously and the OPT2022 12-color fiber-optic amplifier, a multispectral sensor with 12 switching outputs for detailed color analysis using spectral measurement in ROYGBV color space.
