PODCAST: Culture — A Difference-Maker at Aquatherm

Gary Parr | November 20, 2018

Developing and sustaining a positive, collaborative culture in today’s manufacturing operations comes naturally to some, but can be a significant struggle for others. Some don’t recognize its importance in company operations.

It’s a big part of the success of family-owned Aquatherm, manufacturer of a wide range of polypropylene-R piping systems, located in Attendorn, Germany (aquatherm.de) and Lindon, UT (aquatherm.com). Managing partner, Maik Rosenberg, joins Efficient Plant editorial director Gary L. Parr for a discussion about culture at Aquatherm, the positive role it plays manufacturing-system performance and overall company success, and some of the practices they use to sustain a culture that has been part of the company since its inception.

Maik Rosenberg, along with his brothers Dirk and Christof, is managing director of the Aquatherm Group. He grew up heavily involved in the privately owned company based in Attendorn, Germany. Since 2000, Rosenberg has been integral to the company’s management, first focusing on the company’s organization for four years, then moving on to value-chain management. In 2010, he and his brothers became managing directors. His role has continued to focus on value-chain functions. Rosenberg studied industrial engineering and management at the Rheinische Fachhochschule, Cologne.
