ProSoft Introduces Ethernet to Belden Blue Hose Media Converter

ProSoft Technology has introduced a new hardware unit that converts media from Ethernet to Belden 9463 Blue Hose. The new converter enables companies to upgrade their Allen-Bradley Remote I/O system by running EtherNet/IP communications over the existing Remote I/O network. Upgrading can be accomplished with minimal downtime, and once media converters are installed, networks can simultaneously run Remote I/O and EtherNet/IP data on existing Blue Hose cable. The units are plug-and-play and offer 57.6K and 115.2K baud rates at a maximum distance of 1,300 feet (392 m) for simultaneous transmission or 1,750 feet (533 m) for Ethernet alone.
