What top industry trends will have a significant impact on business in your sector in 2015? In 2020?

The top trends that will have a significant impact on the industry continues to be the retention of skills and the recruiting of skilled crafts people.  We find this throughout many of the industries that we have worked.  

What has your company done in the past year to improve its sustainability, save energy and reduce its carbon footprint?

We are committed to recycling of materials, using alternative means for meeting with clients.

What role has your company played in the recent “onshoring” movement that has seen certain types of manufacturing return to the U.S. from overseas?

Our mission is to help our clients become more productive, this directly correlates with the “onshoring” movement. As US companies become more effective and efficient through work processes this will allow them to have reliable production and produce quality goods to compete in the global marketplace.

What is your company’s contribution to solving the ongoing manufacturing skills crisis?

We are helping solve the skills crisis through our work process skill training.  By understanding and consistently practicing the basics of reliability through Planning and Scheduling, Preventive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Root Cause Problem Elimination skills can be improved.  We find the best method is to work one-on-one with key people in the organization.

What makes your company different from your competitors regarding product offerings, response to customer needs and overall business strategy?

IDCON is a belief driven company.

What is the most interesting thing about your company that most people don’t know?

Most people don’t know the method of our approach.  We believe in implementation through coaching.
